MISSING AIRWOMAN
Aeroplane Wreckage Found (Received March 26, 6.30 p.m.) London, March 25. A Bedfordshire detective has gone to Norwich to examine the wreckage of a plane found in the sea on the Norfolk coast. It is suggested that the plane may be that of the Duchess of Bedford, the veteran airwoman. The Duchess of Bedford's instructor, Flight Lieutenant Preston, later examined an aeroplane strut which fishermen dragged up in nets four miles from the Norfolk coast. He said: “I do not think it is ours."
