When the rush set in hundreds of miners passing to and fro were indebted for many kindnesses to Mr. and Mrs. Robertson, and it was no uncommon experience to find 30' miners there in a single night, sleeping on the floor, a lane being kept from the kitchen table to the camp oven so that Mrs. Robertson could continue making bread for the numerous callers.
