The Mote and the Beam
Through the swinging of boughs a-blow A lone star shone. I stood And thought —docs the star know That'its light has enterdd the wood? There it shone to me, whole, • Lovely, but separate and far, And into the wood, of its light, there stole Not a millionth part of the star. A light to a world of' woe, Stands Christ, separate, apart; And 1 wonder —docs Christ know How He has entered my heart? —LAUR EN C'E HO US' .MAN.
