ORGAN RECITAL
Varied Programme Attracted bv the variety and excellence of the programme, more than 300 people attended the Wellington City Council organ recital in the Town Hall last night. The recital was given by .Mr. 11. Temple White, who was assisted by such wellknown artists as .Miss Ava Symons (violitiisti. Aliss Myra Sawyer (soprano), and .Mr. Doouglas White (pianist). The programme was as follows: Choral prelude, "In Dulci Jnbilo” (Bach) ; sonata, Op. 65, No. 2 (Mendelssohn); violin. “Sonata VIII” (Corelli); “Visione,” Op. 156. No. 5 ( Rheinberger); “Am Aleer” ("By the Sea"), Schubert: soprano with piano and organ, "Hymn to the Almighty” (Schubert) : “Melodie in E” ( Rachmaninov) ; “Idylle” (Edgar) ; violin. “Preludium und Allegro” (Pu-gani-Kreisler) ; “Reve Angelique.” No. 10, No. 22 (Rubenstein); soprano with violin, piano and organ. “Ave .Maria” (Bach-Gounod) ; variations on “Sandon” (Meale).
