BOWLING TOURNEY

McArthur-Henry Shield Fixture KEENLY CONTESTED GAMES Twenty-two rinks from the bowling clubs of the Hutt Valley arc playing iu a tournament for the McArthur-llenry Shield, which opened yesterday. Three rounds of IS heads were played, and a similar number will be played to-day. The post-section play and finals will be seen on the Petone club's greens on Monday. Games in the A section were decided on the Lower Hutt green, and those in the B section on the Petone green. Today the sections will change greens. Both greens were playing well, although the Lower Hutt green was faster than that at Petone. The bowling generally was i f a. good order, aud some closely-fought games were contested.
