DIED SAYING ROSARY
Fortitude in Wilderness of Canada (Received March 27, 12.30 a.m.) Quebec, March 26. A scrawled diary found beside the frozen bodies of two young brothers who were hunting in the northern wilderness revealed a story of death by cold and starvation. • One cut a leg and was unable to walk. The other died first. The survivor wrote a note to his parents in his diary:. “The Blessed Virgin h.as taken my brother. lam lonely, hungry, and cold, and hope she will take me soon. Do not fear. We have gone through too much not to be saved. lam saying the Rosary.”
