Congratulations on His
Accession
(British Official Wireless.» (Received March 24, 5 p.m.) Rugby, March 23. Deputations from privileged bodies were received by the King at Buckingham Palace this morning and presented address of congratulations on His Majesty’s accession. The Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr. Cosmo Lang; the Archbishop of York, Dr. William Temple; the Prime Minister. Mr. Stanley Baldwin; the Lord Privy Seal, Lord Halifax ; and the Earl of Athlone, were among those who headed deputations. Altogether 13 bodies presented addresses and the King made a short reply to each presentation.
