Hastings Theatre Manager Wins Coveted Award

The decision of the judges in a competition Held a few weeks ago in connection with tlie celebration of Adolph Zukor’s twenty-fifth year in the motionpicture industry has resulted in a personal triumph for Mr. Tong, Hastings, manager of Hawke’s Bay Amusements. The competition, which was between theatre managers through Australia and New Zealand, was for a bronze plaque bearing the head of Mr. Zukor embossed on it and au inscription of tlie circumstances of the .award. Mr. Tong said that great assistance was given him in tlie prosecution of winning tlie campaign by business firms in Hastings, and lie expressed his sincere thanks to them for their co-opera-tion.
