ORGAN RECITAL
To-morrow evening, at 8 o'clock. Mr. H. Temple White will give a recital on the magnificent organ in the Wellington Town Hall. He has arranged a special programme of organ numbers, including many favourite compositions. Bach. Mendelssohn, Schubert, Rubenstein, Rachmaninov and Elgar are among the composers represented. Assisting Air. White will be two of New Zealand’s finest artiste. Miss Ava Symons, violinist, will be heard in some of her best items, including Corelli’s eighth sonata with the organ. Miss Myra Sawyer, soprano, will sing Schubert’s “Hymn to the Almighty,” with piano and organ accompaniment, and “Ave Maria” (Bach. Gounod,) with piano, organ and violin, the pianist being Mr. Douglas White. The recital, which is under the auspices of the ’Wellington City Council, will last about an hour and a half.
