Wellington Market Quiet A HOLIDAY TONE Business was unusually quiet on the Wellington Stock Exchange yesterday, the markets showing a holiday tone prior to the~Easter vacation, which extends from noon to-day till the morning ot Monday, April 5. Government loans were dull and unchanged and no interest was shown in local body and company debentures. Banks were in good demand on a farm market, with the exception of New Zealands, which had dealings at 43/3, the D long term mortgage shares going at °6/S In the pastoral section, New Zealand "Loan and Mercantile ordinary stock was firmer at £45, sellers asking £•->(. Other sections qf the market were very quiet. Broken Hill Proprietary eased to 87/5. but sellers stayed out.
