Floating Aerodrome
Berlin, March 16.
Christened the Frieseuland by the Minister of Bosts and Communications, Herr von Eltz-Ruebenach. the floating aerodrome constructed by the Lufthansa Company for the Fayal base of the air-mail service to America has been launched at Kiel. She has n tonnage of 6500 and a speed of 16 knots, and can catapult a 16-ton mailcarrying aeroplane. The other floating aerodrome, the Seliwabenland, will be stationed 1485 miles off New York. The service is expected to begin in June.
