Rush of Travellers at Easter EXTRA STEAMER SAILINGS Passenger bookings for Easter in the three inter-island steamer services are heavier this year than has been the case for a number of years, and to accommodate the rush of travellers, extra sailings have been arranged in all three services.

in the Wellington-Lyttelton service the Wahine will make a daylight sailing from Wellington next Thursday, March 25, and the Rangatira will make a daylight sailing from Lyttelton on the same day, while in order to allow the vessels to regain their normal running, the Wahine will leave Wellington on Sunday, March 28, the Rangatira leaving Lyttelton on the same evening for Wellington. Apart from these extra sailings, the service will be maintained as usual, including Good Friday. In the Nelson service there will be two sailings from both Wellington and Nelson on Thursday, March 2..>, the Mata ngi leaving here at 1.15 p.m. and the Arahura at 10 p.m. From Nelson, the Arahura will sail at 0.30 a.m. and the Matangi at 0.45 p.m. On Good Friday, March 26, there will lie no sailing from either port. On Saturday, March 27, the usual sailings will be made, and on Monday, March 29, the Arahura will leave Wellington at midnight for Nelson and the Matangi will leave Nelson at midnight for Wellington. Thereafter the normal service will be maintained. In the Wellington-Picton service, the Tamahiue’s timetable from Wednesday, March 21, is as follows:-- ( _ Leave Wellington: March 24, 2.4;> p.m.; March 25, 6 p.m.; March 27, 1.15 p.m.; March 30, 11 a.m.; March 31, 2.45 p.m.; April 2, 2.45 p.m. Leave Pieton: March 24, 9 p.m.; March 25, 11 p.m.; March 28, 6 p.m.; Marcli 30, 6 p.m.; April 1, 2.45 p.m.; April 3. 11,30 a.m. Thereafter Ibe Tamahine will revert to her win! er timetable, leaving Wellington on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 2.45 p.m., ami leaving 4’icton and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 2.45 p.m. and on Saturdays at 11.30 a.m. The Rangatira is also to make an excursion trip from Wellington to Pieton on Easter Monday. She will leave Wellington at 8 a.m. and Pieton at 2.30 p.m., arriving back at Wellington shortly after 5 p.m.
