LEAGUE OF MOTHERS
Stokes Valley Branch An inspiring Easter message was given by a member at the recent meeting of the Stokes Valley League of Mothers, it being maintained that world peace, honesty in statecraft and all national morality depended entirely on the individual honesty and unselfishness of the citizens comprising the world of nations. The thought for the month was “The Sunbeam.” a poem by Felicia Hernans. The president, Airs. Cording, spoke on the wonderful effect of harmony among members of a branch, and Airs. Lowe conveyed a message of goodwill from the provincial president, Mrs. Kersley. A vote of sympathy was passed to Airs Charlesworth in the death of her mother, Lady Luke. Afternoon tea, at which Airs. K. Thompson presided, brought the meeting to a close.
