BUTTER FOR ARMY
Replacing Margarine London, March 16 The Australian Associated Press agency is informed that the British Government has decided largely to replace margarine with butter throughout (lie Navy, tlie Army and the Air Force. It will all be Empire butter, resulting in Australia and New Zealand securing large orders. Soldiers at present do not receive butter, but in future they will be given an ounce of butter and half an ounce of margarine daily, excepting in stations abroad where it is impracticable to issue butter. Extra food rations arc to operate henceforth throughout th'? Army, including an extra meal, and more meat and milk, which will also benefit Australia and New Zealand
