H.M.S. ROYAL OAK STRUCK BY SHELL
Only Superficial Injuries
Caused (British Official Wireless.) Rugby, February 24. During one of four air raids on Valencia the night before last an antiaircraft shell burst on the quarter-deck of the British battleship Royal Oak. and Captain Drew, Commander Peachey, and three others were struck by splinters. The injuries were superficial and no one was incapacitated. Accepting the bombing as accidental, Britain does not contemplate diplomatic action.
