The opinion that, generally speaking, cases of tuberculosis in North Canterbury at least cannot be attributed to the consumption of infected milk is held by Dr. T. Fletcher Telford, medical officer of health for the CanterburyMestland district. Ho has compiled figures which he claims prove his argument. The subject is one which has been discussed throughout New Zealand at intervals, several medical practitioners contending that tuberculosis in New Zealand was directly attributable to the milk supply.
