OPEN GOLF TOURNAMENT
Masterton Queen Carnival Dominion Special Service. Masterfon, February 7. _ About 80 golfers took part in an open golf tournament held on the Lansdowne links to-day in aid of the Masterton jubilee queen carnival. The links, which were placed at the disposal of the players by the Masterton Golf Club, were in excellent condition, and some good performances took place. Results of the competitions were:— Stableford competition: S. Burridge, 61-18-82.
Net aggregate: G. Joy, 14'0, 1; T. Horton, jun., 142, 2; C. R. Boyes, 143, 3. Fourball: Brown and A. D. S. Duncan drew with J. Card and H. Bell, 4 up. Duncan won the putting competition with a score of 30 for the 18 holes. The trophies were presented by Miss Erma Buick, sports queen candidate.
