ANTI-TROTSKY DRIVE
Soviet Campaign Resumed Moscow, February 4. The tierce anti-Trotskyist drive throughout the nation lias been resumed. Even common murderers and hooligans are being roped in for trial as Trotskyist terrorists. A message from London states that responsible medical opinion in the current issue of the “Lancet” gives credence to the theory that the victims of the Soviet trial were drugged and hypnotised so'us to compel them to make false confessions.
“Certain drugs produce a dreamy state of mind in which the patient may lose his inhibitions and talk more freely .about past experiences,” it is stated. “The drug hypothesis alone does not explain the apparent volte face of these Russians, but there inay have been a combination of drug and hypnotism.”
