Holiday Book To Read

The very breath of a holiday! “In the Mist of the Mountains,” by Ethel Turner, tells a little about the lives of the four children when they are spending a holiday far from the heat of the Australian summer up in the mountains. Their parents are over in New Zealand, and the children are under the care of Miss Bibby. As they are recovering from whoopingcough, they are unable to meet their usual friends; but that is easily overcome, as can be seen in the last chapter.

Another character is introduced in the person of Hugh Kinross, a famous writer. Also his sister—fat, comfortable Kate, both of who change the staid life of Miss Bibby.

You will find “In the Mist of the Mountains” a happy book. It is easily read and really interesting from beginning to end. It is as enjoyable as any other book by Ethel Turner. — Starflower (14), Levin.
