Last Week’s Competitions
Not very many entries for the puzzle competition last week, members, ami I suppose that was because you found it a hard oue. However, those that came in were good, and the best were made by Patsie (12), Maid Mignonette (12). The Tui (14), and Diana (16). Tlie painting competition brought a gay heap of colour to my table, and among those I found the best were made by Mary Langdon (12), Holly Berry (14), and Helena Pelk (5). Star points to those people. There will be no star points and no special competitions while I am away, nor will there be any badges or certificates sent out until I return. Somebody asked about star points, so here they are explained for new members. Star points are given each week for special competitions, entries for which must be In the following Wednesday. When you have five points you have won a star —which means a prize. However, prizes are only given out twice a year—at Christmas time and in the mid-winter. So if you have a star you may still keep on adding points' until you have two, maybe, which will mean two prizes when the time comes. That is clear enough, and easy to follow, isn’t it.—Kiwi.
