Wellington Trotting Club Final Day KEEN RACING CERTAIN Review of the Prospects (By Overcheck.) The Wellington Trotting Club has received excellent acceptances for the second day of its meeting to-day, and with the readjustment of handicaps as a result of the first day’s form there is every reason to believe that the various events will be even more keenly contested than they were on Thursday, when several close finishes were witnessed. A frequent rail and bus service to. and from the course has been arranged, and this should ensure quick transport each way. Another pair likely to be in demand are Donald Dhu aud Superior Rank. The latter finished very strongly on Thursday after losing considerable ground at a critical stage of the race. The form in that race will probably result in the Bonny Azure-Glenrossie bracket receiving most support. The last-named finished very strongly and should be all the better for the race. Rollo should again race prominently, while Gamble may be improved as a result of his outing the first day. In 1934 the Gold Cup was the only race he contested at the Dunedin meeting, with Chhota and Croupier filling the other places; but in 1935 he did not run in the Gold Cup. Last year, after carrying the record weight of 10.4 to victory in the Dunedin Cup. run in record time, he won the James Hazlett Gold Cup, his time. 1.38 2-5, being a new track record for one mile.
