FEILDING RAM FAIR

Flock Southdowns Offered MARKET CLOSES EASIER Dominion Special Service. Feilding, February 5. Flock and stud Southdowns were offered to-day, the second day of the Feilding ram fair, to a large assembly of farmers. Bidding was good until later in the day, with the range of prices somewhat above reserves. As in the case of the Romney buyers, the farmers were particular, and some line«? not showing the quality required were left severely alone. The fair concluded in a minor key late in the afternoon. Too many flock Southdowns were offered, consequently at about 4 p.m. prices dropped appreciably. Up to that time , the sale was good. Stud Southdowns sold well at higher prices than were anticipated. The highest price of 65 guineas was i>y the Loan and Mercantile Company for a ram sold by C. McLaughlan (Blenheim).
