KILBIRNIE KINEMA

“Petticoat Fever” and “It’s a Great Life” •Petticoat Fever," the new Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer production now playing at the Kiibirnie Kinema, is Robert I Montgomery’s first picture since his sixinonth vacation in Europe. Beautiful Myrna Loy is co-starred in this first-class film, which abounds in humour and makes excellent entertainment. Montgomery’s European- jaunt crowned five years of work, during which time he became one of the leading stars of the screen. There’s realism in the new Paramount production, “It’s a Great Life,” which will open at the Kiibirnie Kinema today. The picture is based on life in a forest camp, and the script calls for a tight between Joe Morrison and Paul Kelly. Kelly was supposed to knock Morrison down with a single blow. In going down, Morrison struck his head on a sharp projection, and was knocked unconscious. He was treated at the studio emergency hospital for lacerations.
