Champion of Champions Contest WIN FOR F. K. HELLING The champion of champions contest conducted by the Wellington Chess League has been won by F. K. Kelling, who has been a strong contender for the championship since its inception 15 years ago. E. E. Hicks, the runner-up, had a great opportunity of securing the honours as he only required a draw in his final match with Kelling to win the championship. In the latter stages of a keen contest Kelling won a pawn and eventually caused Hicks's resignation after the game had gone to three sittings.
