SEARCH FOR RARE PLANTS
Mr. Clifford Jackson, a young Burnley man. is making a 13.000-miie journey through dense jungle land, ice and snow to bring back to British gardenlovers new plants and flowers. lie will be accompanied by a colleague from Cardiff on his journey to Tibet and the Himalayas. “I am making the trip on behalf of a Midland seeds firm,” Mr. Jackson said to the representative of a London paper, “and I am anxious to bring back to British gardens plants hitherto unknown to our civilisation.”
