“MESSIAH” TO-MORROW NIGHT

In numerous towns throughout the Dominion at this season o£ the year, the choral societies with few exceptions will be presenting Handel’s “Messiah.” This ever-popular oratorio will be presented to Wellington music-lovers in the Town Hall to-morrow night by the Royal Wellington Choral Union. There will be a chorus and orchestra of 300 performers under the conductorship of Mr. Stanley Oliver. A splendid cast of soloists has been secured in Miss Dawn Hunt (soprano). Mbs Christina Young (contralto), Mr. Joseph Battersby (tenor), and .Mr. Ernest. Short (baritone). 'Hie box plan is at the D.1.C., where one shilling tickets are also on sale.
