WEDDING

Ericsson—O’Duffy The marriage was celebrated recently at Holy Cross Church, Miram,ar, of Eileen Rose, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. O’Duffy, Miramar, and Roy Charles, second son of Mr. and Mrs. Ericsson, • Wellington. The Bev. Father Uhlenberg, P.P., officiated and celebrated nuptial mass. The “Wedding March” was played by Miss Phyllis Connolly, Upper Hutt. , The bride, who was escorted by her father, and two flower girls as trainbearers, wore a gown of pearl-tinted satin, cut on classical lines, with a train edged with orange blossom. The bodice was finished with tiny satin buttons, aud the high neckline was relieved with a dainty spray Of orange blossom. Her long embroidered veil formed a second train, and was caught to the head with a coronet of pleated tulle and orange blossom. She carried a sheaf of waxonias, white carnations and pale pink roses. The two bridesmaids, the Misses Florence Holmes and Maureen Clifford, were dressed alike in white floral georgette over satin, with cowled necklines, full raglan sleeves, and backs finished with dainty two-tone pink flowers. They wore white tulle Dolly Varden hats, with pleated brims and flowered crowns, and carried bouquets of pink roses. The two flower girls, Placidus O’Duffy, sister of the bride, and lola Ericsson, sister of the bridegroom, were dressed in dainty white georgette frocks,, full-length, and finished with frills and flowers at the hemline, puff sleeves .and fagotted collars. They had Juliet caps of flowers and carried attractive posies. The best man and groomsman were Mr. T. O’Duffy and Mr. C. Ericcson, respectively. After the ceremony the guests were entertained at the Empire Hotel, Willis Street, where they were received by Mrs. O’Duffy, wearing a navy floral georgette ensemble, finished with a shoulder spray of roses, and hat, gloves and bag to match. Mrs. O’Duffy was assisted by Mrs. Ericsson, who was in a navy floral ensemble, navy hat relieved with a floral spray, and shoulder spray of red roses. The bride and bridegroom later left by the Awatea for Australia.

The Misses E, and M. Brown, who have been staying with Mrs. J. R. Kessel], Brooklyn, left for Sydney by the Awatea last night.
