Narrow Escape After Yacht Capsize By Telegraph—Press Association. Gisborne, December 7. A drowning accident was narrowly averted at Wainui Beach yesterday morning when two young men, R. S. Kinder and AV. A. Bell, were thrown into the sea 400 yards from th,e shore. They Jiad prone out in a 12-foot yacht which capsized and then drifted seaward. When GOO yards from the beach the young men decided to abandon the boat and swim ashore. This Kinder succeeded in doing, but Bell was soon in difficulties, and was half a mile out when he was reached by S. M. McLernon and D, A. Crooks with a lifeline. All four men were considerably exhausted, but after resting were little the worse for their experience.
