A YEARLY VISITOR
Former Indian Army Man on Fishing Trip A yearly visitor to New Zealand in quest of trout, imiko and marlin, Lieut.-Colonel G. S. Douglas, of England, arrived at Wellington by the Wanganella yesterday. He stated that lie expected to visit Tongariro, Rotorua and Mayor Island in the Bay of Plenty, and would sjiend the greater part of the summer iu the Dominion. This is his fifth visit to New Zealand since he retired from the Army in 1632. An ex-Indian Army man, Companion of the Order of the Indian Empire, Lieut.-Colonel Douglas is a veteran of the South African War and of the Great. War, when he was twice mentioned in dispatches. He has seen set’ vice in Afghanistan, on the NorthWest Frontier, and in Waziristan, and took part in the Mahsud Campaign of 1919 and 1920.
