R. E. S. Wyatt, of the English team now in Australia, is one of the most unlucky cricketers, for he has suffered no fewer than 12 fractures while playing the game. The list isTwo toes, bone in foot, jaw. two ribs, bone in hand, thumb, three fingers, and now wrist. It was suggested to 'Wyatt in Adelaide that hi* should take on some other game, for apparently erieket was too dangerous for him. His reply was:—“Well, I consider I am lucky to be alive. It’s a wonder I have not had my neck fractured.’’
