LOWER HUTT TENNIS
Lower Hutt beat Island Bay in au inter-club tennis match by 20 matches to 8. The teams comprised eight men and eight women. The Lower Hutt club handicaps have now begun, and it is to complete all first round games by November 23. after which date two weeks only will be allowed for the completion of each round. Following are results of games played :—W. E. Jarman defeated R. Lamberg, 50-47; R. Millard defeated D. J. Moginie, 50-46; Miss V. Burns defeated Miss J. Butchers, 40-35; Mrs. Lougmore defeated Miss M. Thompson, 40-37; Miss R. Gower - defeated Mrs. M. Jones, 40-27; Jarman and Lamberg defeated Dyer and Dyer, 50-44; Mrs. Jones and Mrs. Longmore defeated Misses Gower and Skeet, 40-30: R. Lamberg and Miss M. Thompson defeated R. Gordon and Miss Gower, 50-47. * , , , The second round of inter-club matches is to be played on Saturday. November 28, and teams will be selected from ladder positions as at November 21.
