MURDER OF SON
Death Sentence on Father Commuted LIFE IMPRISONMENT (Received November 17, 11.15 p.m.) Perth, November 17. The death sentence on Michael O’Sullivan for the wilful murder of his seven-year-old son, was commuted today to imprisonment foi- life. The evidence disclosed that O'Sullivan took the boy out in a motor-car and shot him because he was mentally deficient, incurable, and a great strain upon his mother. He then brought the corpse back to the police station. The father, in great grief, gave himself up.
