HOSPITAL LOAN
Approval of Proposals
Dominion Special Service. Masterton, November 17.
The Masterton Borough Council, as a entributing local body, has approved of the Wairarapa Hospital Board’s loan proposals. The mayor, Mr. T- Jordan, at to-night s meeting of the council, said he had received advice from the manager of the hospital that the whole of the loan would involve a levy from all local bodies concerned of £2068/15/- per annum. That, the mayor explained, was equivalent to .021 d. in the pound ’on the capital value, or 1/9 to every £lOOO of the capital value.
