DANCE RECITAL
Pupils of Miss Gertrude Shardlow A delightful entertainment was witnessed at the Town Hall concert chamber last night, when the puipils of Miss Gertrude Shardlow, assisted by Miss Nola Hyde and Mr. D. Roache, gave a dance reeilal. The majority of the porformers were children, and, although some once or twice forgot their parts or suffered from stage-fright, they danced very well. One little girl had some thoublc w.tlt her hat, and as she danced around clutching it she caused much merriment. The hall was full- „„ . In "A Chinese Princess’s Ottering Miss Audrey Allardice proved’herself to be an accomplished toe dancer and, with Master Jackie Browne, presented a tap duo. My Goodness.” and Miss Phyllis Picket, dressed in a smart scarlet riding habit, showed very good interpretation in “Tally Ho.” Her dancing was also attractive.
