Wellington Markets Quiet AN EASIER-TENDENCY There was a quieter tone in the Wellington stock and share markets yesterday, and the volume of turnover yamuch less than on recent days, sales bein„ recorded as follows: —

There was a good demand for Government loans, hut supplies were very sealce, the only reported business being a small parcel of 4 per cent, stock, 1J46, at £lO- - Offers for the 1952-aa 4 per centswere slightly firmer. Pastoral and financial issues, insurance and most other New Zealand shares were dull. There was a good demand for Australian industrial and trading issues. Broken Hill Proprietary were a little better than at the close of last week. Australian Glass eas-ed to 90/-, sellers 93/o, ex dividend, and Burns Philp were wanten at 72/6, also ex dividend. Electrolytic Zincs were also easier. The Woolworths issues showed small variations. New Zealands were quoted at £6/12/-, sellers £6/17/-, and the Sydneys were done at £6/17/- and £6/16/-.
