About 200 Attend Special Aero Club Meeting VICE-PRESIDENT RESIGNS Approximately 200 members attended a special meeting of the Wellington Aero Club in the Dominion Farmers’ Institute last, evening. The meeting had been called to consider a motion “that the seats on the committee held by the three vice-presidents, the treasurer and all other members of the committee, save the president (Mr. T. C. A. Hislop), Mr. C. W. Batten and Mr. A. A. Whitelaw, be declared vacant.” After reading the notice convening the meeting, Mr. Hislop, who presided, said it was for the meeting to decide whether the Press should be present or not. “Personal matters may be raised, or they may not.” lie said. "It is for you to decide whether you want the Press to be here or not.” A motion that the Press remain wu» declared lost on the voices, and on a call for a division, was again lost on a show of hands. The outcome of the meeting was the retention of the present officers. One of the vice-presidents, Mr. C. W. Batten, tendered his resignation from the position prior to the meeting.
