Production Quota Raised

DECISION WELCOMED (Received November 12, 9.15 p.m.) Loudon, November 12. The International Tin Committee surprisingly raised the production quota for . the final quarter by 15 per cent. to 105 per eent., resulting iu wild fluctuations, the price at one time slumping by £l7/10/- a ton cash, tin finally being £9/15/- lower at £235/15/-.

The “Fin mcial News” says the market welcomed the decision because supplies are still exceptionally tight, and because it is regarded as a sign that the new agreement commencing in January will operate on liberal lines.
