‘•.Many of our old pupils were mentioned in the Victoria College term's results,’’ reported Mr. J. N. Millard, principal of the Hutt Valley High School, to the governors last evening. "K. 1. Robertson, last year's dux, was particularly sucecwful. and he had the unique distinction of being awarded two special prizes—the John P. Good prize tor mathematics and the Bruce Dall prize for physics. He had gained first-class terms in'four subjects. ” The board decided to send him a letter of congratulation.
‘'The high school grounds are looking better than they have ever looked before.” remarked Mr. J. N. Millard, the principal, at last evening's board meeting. "The work of tar-sealing the west roadway should be finished by the middle of December. The cricket wickets are showing the benefit of the new mower, and, provided there is no water shortage, they should be greatly improved this season. The new grass on the slope by the manual training rooms is almost ready for cutting, and this corner is already showing a big improvement. .Mr. Hutt was of great assistance to u« in the provision of a large antirrhinum bed by the new building.”
