ART EXHIBITION

A beautiful collection of oil paintings and water colours by celebrated English, Scottish, Dutch, Italian and French masters is ou display ou the second floor at 1 Courtenay Place, Cambridge Terrace entrance, for only four more days. They were brought to New Zealand for exhibition and sale by Mr. R. Barnett, wellknown art dealer and expert of the Haymarket, London. All these pictures are attractively framed and are tabletted with the title and artist's name inscribed. The range of the production of these paintings covers the last hundred years. Mr. Barnett reports that Wellington has responded very well, and that he has made several sales. Among the many paintings that are creating attention and admiration are: “Ou the River Scheldt,” by F. Hammond; “The Young Anglers,” by J, C. Thom; “Waiting for Master,” by Colin Grieme; “Off Scarborough,” by Edwin Hayes; “Walls Have Ears,” by E, Lucini; “Sunshine After Rain,” by Cecil Douglas; and “On the Thames at Windsor,” by W. E. Harris, The exhibition is open from 9.30 a.m. until'6 pan. daily, including to-morrow.
