rpHE Dionne Quintuplets are about to start work on their second film — “Reunion.” They are to be taught to lisp English words, so that they can take part in the dialogue as well as in the acting. ♦

TJALPH MORGAN is a very proud father these days, because of the success of his daughter, Claudia, in the Morgan theatrical tradition. Miss Morgan recently worked for and won a coveted three-year contract as a featured player with the New York Theatre Guild. $ « *

UNIVERSAL have recently released two exceptionally entertaining films that should have a very wide appeal. One is “Two in a Crowd.” featuring that popular actor, Joel McCrea, and the beautiful Joan Bennett; and the other is “Sea Spoilers,” with John Wayne in the stellar role. » * * rpHE world-famous pianist, Jan -*• Paderewski, has arrived in London to appear as himself on the screen in a British picture, “Moonlight Sonata.” Lothar Mendes is producing and directing this, the first subject of his own unit, at the Denham studios. Marie Tempest, the veteran stage comedian, makes her bow in talkies in this picture, and Charles Farrell and Barbara Greene are the romantic leads. Exteriors will be done abroad, probably in Sweden. United Artists will release the film.

ffHE most exciting and brilliant star combination ever to appear in one film is in “Ladies in Love,” a Twentieth Century-Fox production, a bit-ter-sweet romance of four lonesome and lovely girls, and their adventures in search of love. A quartette of Hollywood’s most famous feminine personalities—Janet Gaynor. Loretta Young, Constance Bennett amid Simone Simon —appears in the film, with the cast also featuring Don Ameche, Paul Lukas. Tyrone Power, jun., and Alan Mowbray.

TNSTEAD of “Mistress of Fashion,” the picture in which Kay Francis is now at work at the Warner Bros. First National West Coast studios will be known hereafter as “Stolen Holiday.” Claude Rains and lan Hunter have the two leading masculine roles opposite Miss Francis. Other principals are Alison Skipworth, Frank Reicher, Frank Conroy, Betty Lawford, Walter Kingsford. Alexandra D'Arcy, Charles Halton and Katlileen Howard.
