Confidence in the Prime Minister of New Zealand apparently extends well beyond New Zealand shores. “At present," writes a Brisbane man, “we are experiencing very hot weather and drought, which has necessitated all sorts of water restrictions. I do hope we will soon have a good rainfall. Your Mr. Savage seems to be able to fix most things. Perhaps he can send some rain clouds over to the east coast of Australia, and then we shall all be happy again.”
