Naval Officers Sailing Her From Georgetown

The new owners of the trawler Girl Pat have appointed three former naval officers to bring her from Georgetown. The commander is R. W. Lawrence, navigator of a submarine during the war. The crew of eight will be selected from 500 applicants, excluding 30 women whose offer has been rejected. The brothers Orsborne were recently found guilty of stealing the Girl Pat, the trawler which sailed from England on April 4 and then was pursued to Georgetown. British Guiana, where she was captured toward the end of June. George Orsborne received eighteen months' imprisonment and James Orsborne twelve mouths' imprisonment. The Girl Pat was purchased by a company registered as Girl I’at, Limited, which advertised for a crow “seeking adventure” to bring the ship from 'Georgetown to England.
