INJURIES PROVE FATAL
Accident to Sawmiller
By Telegraph—Press Association
Christchurch, October 6
Severe bodily injuries which proved fatal this evening were received on Monday afternoon by Ernest Hayward Morris, aged 50, sawmiller, of Oxford. Some wood which he was cutting with a power saw flew up. A part broke Mr. Morris’s ribs, which penetrated the lung and another part broke the chest bone and penetrated the windpipe. A specialist was called from Christchurch and though the lung injury was remedied, the windpipe injury proved fatal.
Mr. Morris was the proprietor of the mill where the accident occurred.
