SUNDAY SCHOOL RALLY
Scripture Prizes Presented The annual rally of the eastern suburbs section of the Wellington Sunday School Union and presentation of prizes won in the recent Scripture examination was held in St. Giles’s Hall, Kilbirnie, on Tuesday evening. Prizes won by the children of the Maranui, Methodist, St. Giles, Lyall Bay, Miramar Baptist, Miramar Presbyterian, and Worser Bay Methodist Sunday schools were presented by Mr. R. M. Russell, president of the union. Mr. R. A. Combe, superintendent of the Lyall Bay Baptist School, presided. Items in music, tableaux, and story were presented by scholars of the combined schools. This evening the programme will be repeated. The Minister of Public Works, the Hon. R. Semple, will present the prizes to the children of the Lyall Bay Baptist, St. Giles Kilbirnie, Hataitai Methodist, Miramar Methodist, and Seatoun Presbyterian schools.
