FRENCH ARMAMENT FIRMS CHARGED
Accused of Making Faulty Torpedo Tubes (Received September 16. 7.30 p.m.) Paris, September 10. The Government has issued a sensational communique announcing that legal action is being taken against certain. French armament firms on charges of misrepresentation in the construction of material intended for national defence. The “Daily Telegraph’s” Paris cor respondent says that the two firms concerned are Schneider and Bru non Valette. They are accused of manufacturing defective torpedo tubes.
