MALE VOICE CHOIR

To-night the Wellington Male .Voice Choir will give its second concert in the Town Hall Concert Chamber, under the conductorship of Frank J. Oakes. An exceptionally fine programme of part-songs • has been -prepared, and the services of two fine soloists have been enlisted to further enhance the musical presentations. Mrs. George Holloway, violinist, was during her residence in London associated with chamber music and solo playing. Miss Ena Rapley, soprano, is well-known to Wellington concertgoers, and the items to be performed by each of these artists will undoubtedly add interest to the programme of part-songs and choruses to be sung by the choir. The choir by request will open the concert with “God Defend New Zealand,” by John J. Woods, the lyrics by Thomas Bracken, 1843-1898. The accompanists will be Mr. Clement Howe and Mr. George Holloway.
