FIRST RECITAL
New Church Organ The first recital on the new organ at the Methodist Church, Karori. was given by Mr. C. W, Kerry last night. The organ has three manuals and pedals. In spite of the weather, there was a large attendance. The programme was as ioliows “Prelude and Fugue in C minor’’ (Bach) ? “Sonata No. 5” (Merkel); “Sonata No. 2” (Mendelssohn) ; “Largo” (Handel); “Evening Bells” (Chauvet) ; “Im Abendroth” (Schubert) ; “March on a Theme of Handel” (Guilmant). Miss Christina Young sang How Lovely Are Thy Dwellings” (Allitsen) and “O Rest in the Lord” (Mendelssohn).
