TOURIST RESORTS
Claims of South Island The claims of South Island tourist resbrts were advocated by Mr. J. Hargest (Opposition, Awarua), in giving notice of a question to the Minister in Charge of the Tourist and Publicity Department, Hon. F. Langstone, in the House of yesterday. Mr. Hargest asked whether the Minister would give instructions to his officers in the northern parte of the Dominion to render every assistance to tourists who desired to visit the South Island, Complaints were still coming from overseas tourists regarding the paucity of information about the South Island obtainable in offices such as Auckland and Rotorua.
