ON WAY TO PALESTINE
3000 British Troops Leave (Received September 15, 5.5 Vm.) Rugby, September 14.Two ships carrying nearly 3000 troops left Southampton for Palestine within an hour this afternoon. The Laurentic, the first to.sail, had headquarters staffs and administrative units aboard, and the Nevassa carried the 2nd Battalion of the East Yorkshire Regiment and the North Staffordshire Regiment. Reservists formed half the strength.
