Sheer silk stockings are being sold in Britain at 2/- a pair. They come from Germany. It is said that the machines which make them can at any moment be switched over for the mak ing of explosives and armaments—which accounts for their cheapness. They are subsidised by tbe German Government.
The League of British Women Shoppers which came into being to light Nazi tyranny is drawing public alien lion to these stockings, as they consider money silent on them is money s[>ent on financing German ariniiinents.
